Building Internal Champions

Successful platform launches don’t rely on one person - they succeed when key staff across your school take shared ownership. By building a network of Internal Champions, you can foster confidence, consistency, and collaboration during and after implementation.

What is an Internal Champion?

An Internal Champion is a staff member who embraces the new platform early, helps train or guide peers, and advocates for best practices across your community. Champions become the go-to people for practical questions and reinforce adoption long after the initial rollout.

Selecting Your Champions

  • Choose 2–4 individuals representing different roles (admin, coordinator, teacher).
  • Look for early adopters with positive influence and clear communication skills.
  • Prioritize those who are curious and open to learning new technology.
  • Ensure they have time allocated for champion responsibilities.

Empowering Your Champions

  • Invite them to join all implementation and training sessions.
  • Encourage them to complete self-paced certification courses on FariaLearn.
  • Have them document FAQs and share short “how-to” clips or notes with peers.
  • Involve them in testing and feedback before wider launches.

Maintaining Momentum

After launch, keep your Champions engaged by inviting them to internal check-ins, upcoming release briefings, and educator events. Recognize their efforts publicly - their leadership helps drive long-term success and reduces reliance on external support.
